3CS Media Fellowship 2022 Climate Journalism Marginalised Communities
With the objective to report climate change and it’s consequences when it comes to how it affects the lives of people especially the lives of those who live at the margins of the society., 3CS media fellowship will be directly supporting the journalists from underserved communities to cover the climate exchange and related stories. 3CS fellowship focuses on original reportage done for and by those in the climate change frontlines in peninsular India. The journalists reporting in English and any of the languages from Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the Union Territories of Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands are invited to apply. The aim is to give adequate time and resources to journalists so that they can come with the stories that can contribute in public welfare.
Eligibility Criteria
Journalists from the marginalized communities in the listed states above are eligible to apply. Women are also welcomed from these communities and states

Preference to Adivasis and Dalit Journalists
Grant or Remuneration
Fellowship Grant: Rs. 4,00,000
- Rs. 2,00,000 in April after selection
- Rs 1,00,000 in September on submission of final story idea fine tuned post in situ travel
- Rs 1,00,000 in November on submission and translation of final piece and accounts in full

What to send in the mail?
- A list of five story ideas for original climate change reportage with a clear mention of location, point of view of those whose voices are less heard. These can be 1000-word published pieces or 3-5 minute videos.
- CV of the applicant with all coordinates and two samples of previously published work.
- One ID proof.
